Current mood: OK.
I said recently that, as the two-year anniversary is drawing nearer, I should talk a bit more about the comic and its future here. Well, here's some random thoughts...
I'm not sure if everybody is aware that this comic tells one big story. This means it has a definite ending. Not anytime soon; there will be several years of time in the comic world passing before that. But at some point, the story will end.
Now I am already wondering, what about the webcomic? Will that end too? Will I continue with some other characters? Will I jump back in time and tell all the forgotten side stories? It's way too early to worry about that, because the storyline will probably last at least until 2009 or so. But that's only four more years. And the last two years of drawing this comic went by rather quickly...
Also, the story will have some darker, more violent phases. Characters will get hurt or even die. Not too soon, but I already worry about the day I finally reach those story arcs. Will I really dare to do that, and not be afraid to scare away my readers? And will I have learned to draw well enough by then so that I can actually do those things?
I know, I should not worry so much. All in all, I like what I'm doing. And there will be readers who will like what I'm doing, even if I still can't draw ;). If you like what I'm doing, keep reading. Or even better, keep reading and tell somebody else about this site. (Hey, if everybody would do that, I'd double my number of readers just in time for the two-year anniversary!)

If you still have that song from a week ago stuck in your head, try Bilbo Baggins (Quicktime, sound). Now which is worse? :P
Author's notes:
Not sure if I'm happy with the background, but I'll have to use it for a while.
Hm. Somehow August in panel 2 doesn't quite match up with the other panels. But it's ok still, I guess.
