Current mood: Happy.
With the current amount of snow and ice here, and temperatures rapidly alternating between -2 and -20 °C, strange things can happen ... Somehow a wedge of ice managed to form between my car door and frame, and when I opened the door this morning, there was a bit more resistance than usual, so I pushed slightly harder than usual, and the door was open, but something was weird. So I tried to close the door and it wouldn't. I got out of the car, and the door (and fender too) were totally deformed near the hinge ... Drove all over town to find a place to get this fixed (as it's no fun in ice and snow and -20 °C with a door that won't close). Place owner looks at it and says it takes a couple hours and 400 EUR. Well, at that point, I was not only cold, wet, frozen and annoyed, but downright desperate -- 400 EUR and all I did was open my car door ...
So I said, "actually, I don't care what it looks like, I don't care if there's a dent or anything, I just want the door to close again, so all I really need is someone with a big hammer..."
So he said, "well, wait a moment", and returned with a big hammer (and some other tools). Banged against my car door for a few minutes and then it worked again. Yeah, sure doesn't look so nice now, but I don't care. Paid 5 EUR, which is substantially less than 400 ;)
Hey, so I saved 395 EUR today!

One interesting, amazing, or mind-boggling image every day: at the Cellar. I kinda liked this one ;)
Author's notes:
Lots of text this time, and nothing really happening. There will be more action next time, I promise :D
